Not another week of putting those darn "Periodic Cards" in order!
This week we began a quick overview of the 2000-year history of the Christian faith. There is not much to write about for this week, as it was very similar to last weeks study only a different time period. If asked, I am sure your kids would say these past two weeks have been pretty dry and boring. We will do our best to get through nitty gritty of history learning so hang in there guys!!!
Once again, the kids worked together to put "periodic cards" ranging from "Jesus and his Disciples" to the "Future Church." This time they got it perfect. It amazes us how these kids can pull their minds together in deciding the perfect order. Great job guys!
We are heirs to our history! The events and people of our faith's past are all a part of our important history. They shape the church and shape us even today. Speaking of people in our faith history, we spent quite a bit of time learning about very important people tonight. Some of these great people included: Constantine, Augustine, Teresa of Calcutta, John and Charles Wesley and Martin Luther. I'm not so sure who Harry was, but I love the hat that was passed around throughout the evening....
We had some great laughs in our class tonight. I have to admit, the kids were a bit squirmy, but manageable. I had my very first "Nutty Bar," and so a formal photo was taken.
